SITUATION
Like most investors, Vivian and Paul have watched their savings lose value in the rocky stock market of the past few years.
They want to make sure their long-term savings are in the right place and that they're on track for retirement and another long-term goal: college educations for their two young children.
"We have children now and we're looking at both retirement and college expenses," says Paul, 40. "We're trying to determine where to best put our savings, with the economy the way it is. And we know college will be expensive."
