SEOUL, March 17 Asia Pulse - Overrun by upscale TVs with PDP, LCD and projection screens, curved cathode ray tube (CRT) TVs are slowly but surely disappearing from the shelves of electronics retail shops across the country, according to industry sources Monday.
Himart, a leading electronics shopping mall chain, recently decided not to display CRT TV models in its newly franchised shops as demand for them has declined rapidly from last year.
In place of 15-, 20- and 25-inch screen CRT TV models, Himart is showcasing full-flat CRT TVs, plasma display panel (PDP) or liquid crystal display (LCD) TV sets, according to company officials.
