Members of Temple Beth El and the surrounding community reacted with sadness and satisfaction Sunday at news that an arrest had been made in the October 2000 fire that heavily damaged the temple.
"I'm delighted to hear that the case is being brought to a conclusion," said Rabbi Irvin S. Beigel, spiritual leader at the temple at the time of the fire. "I have had confidence for 2 1/2 years that it would be brought to a conclusion."
