D Jones, CyncoedA: The only way to get waiting lists down is to invest in training more doctors. That is why we are investing in an 89 per cent increase in medical student intake in Wales, with big increases in nurse training as well. There have been successes in driving down waiting times in key areas like cardiac and orthopaedics.
