PAPILLON, winner of the 2000 Martell Grand National, has been retired after his lethargic performance over hurdles at Punchestown on Sunday.
Discussions between trainer Ted Walsh and the 12-year-old's Pennsylvania- based owner Betty Moran ended with the decision that the end of the road had been reached.
