Mar. 19--WASHINGTON - Looking toward his Wednesday night deadline, President Bush held out little hope that Saddam Hussein would reconsider his defiant stance and flee Iraq in time to avert war, the White House said Tuesday.
"Saddam Hussein has led Iraq to many mistakes in the past, principally by developing weapons of mass destruction," said White House press secretary Ari Fleischer. "If he doesn't leave the country, he will make his final mistake."
