Produits Chimiques Auxiliaires et de Synthese (PCAS; Longjumeau, France) says it is aiming to expand overall sales by 8% in 2003 through organic growth, following a series of recent acquisitions. However, the company will consider more deals if it can generate sufficient cash flow to pay for them, says CEO Andre Galigne. PCAS is concentrating on developing its pharmaceutical fine chemicals business, and it is divesting assets in other areas, Galigne says.
PCAS acquired a 50% stake in Leiras Fine Chemicals (Turku, Finland) last year. Schering holds the other 50% share. PCAS also acquired the Expansia cGMP fine chemicals plant at Aramon, France, from Beaufour-Ipsen ...
