Sichuan Province intends to adjust rare earth industry strategy
Shanghai. March 21. INTERFAX-CHINA - China's second largest rare earth oxide-containing region, Sichuan Province, intends to develop an efficient strategy for its local industry, according to information provided to Interfax from the State Development Planning Commission (SDPC).
Sichuan Province has verified rare earth oxide (REO) reserves of 3 mln tons and by the end of 2000, had 21 rare earth minerals producers capable of delivering 36,000 tons of REO each year.
