Not all park board members were pleased with the board's decision to disconnect White Pines Golf Club from village limits.
Some commissioners claim not to have even known the decision was going to be made until it was called for a vote.
With one member absent, commissioners voted 3-1 to disconnect the court from the village.
Commissioner Richard Johnson, who cast the "no" vote, said he and other commissioners were surprised when they were asked to vote to approve the disconnection. He said he and at least one other commissioner were purposely left in the dark.
