Mar. 21--Monroe County is a big importer of workers, especially from surrounding counties.
According to recently released data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Lawrence County sends the most workers to Monroe County -- 4,022 every day.
Greene and Owen counties also send large numbers of workers to Monroe County -- 3,788 and 2,813 respectively.
Morgan County sends 821 workers to Monroe County, Brown County exports 689 workers and even 459 people come to work in Monroe County from Indianapolis.
