It was fun visiting the carers who look after orphaned baby kangaroos. I got to bottle-feed the roos and take them on trips into town in shopping bags. I got very attached to one called Eric, who'd been orphaned when his mother was hit by a lorry. As I recently lost my mum to cancer, I had some idea how he felt.
