Birmingham has secured more than pounds 500,000 worth of personal possessions once belonging to the city's Industrial Revolution pioneer James Watt.
The city's Museum and Art Gallery purchased the 87 items, including antique furniture, silverware and paintings, when they were auctioned at Sotheby's as part of a 564-lot archive.
