TUCSON, Ariz. - Aaron Rowand is a survivor.
That was true even before the White Sox' 25-year-old center fielder almost lost his life in a Nov. 1 dirt-bike accident near his winter home in Las Vegas.
As a professional baseball player, Rowand hit with authority at every minor-league level after being drafted between the first and second rounds in 1998.
But just when it looked as if Rowand was going to get his chance to start for the Sox last year, veteran Kenny Lofton was signed two weeks before spring training opened.
