Madison La Follette coach Eric Nelson still chuckles when he remembers that his top two reserves during the 2000-01 basketball season were sophomore Jonte Flowers and his freshman brother Michael.

Nelson was laughing about it Monday after being told the Flowers brothers had been named first-team All-State by the Associated Press. Milwaukee King junior guard Dupree Fletcher also made the team with Appleton West senior Brian Butch and Randolph junior Greg Stiemsma, a pair of 6-foot-11 centers and future teammates of Michael Flowers at the University of Wisconsin.
