Let's talk about your colon. It may not be a proper dinner conversation topic. It probably isn't even spoken about in conversation between two close friends. However, not talking about it doesn't make the problem go away. The American Cancer Society estimates that 2,400 Kentuckians will be diagnosed with colon cancer and 900 will die from it this year alone. Yet many people won't talk about it, let alone get tested. Apparently, it is such a taboo topic that we would rather watch cancer take the lives of 900 people than talk about how we can prevent it.
