It was a milestone victory for the Wisconsin-Green Bay women's basketball team, and a monumental continuation of frustration for Washington.
The Phoenix flew straight into the NCAA Tournament West Region first-round game on Saturday night having never won one of those so-called second-season games.
Leading wire-to-wire, Green Bay put an end to that postseason drought with a 78-65 dismantling of the Huskies at McArthur Court and advancing to Monday's second-round game at 8:30 p.m. against third-ranked and No. 1-seeded Louisiana State.
