Mar. 28--RESULTS A SURPRISE AS FIRM LOOKS INTO CANCER CONCERNS: Marilyn Roberts began to wonder whether she might be in the middle of a cancer cluster as she started ticking off the names of co-workers and the types of cancers they had contracted.
In three years, nine lawyers, legal assistants and secretaries on the First City Tower's 27th floor had been diagnosed with some form of cancer, including breast, thyroid, skin, kidney and prostate, recalled Roberts, a legal assistant in the public finance section at Vinson & Elkins.
