JAKARTA, March 28 Asia Pulse - Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia plans to reduce its service to the Middle East from eight to two flights a week following a fall in the number of passengers to the region, commercial director Bachrul Hakim said here on Thursday.

"The loadfactor in the route to the Middle East has sharply dropped because of the war in Iraq and the government's policy on employment to the Middle East," he said.

He said the decision to cut the flights would be made in a couple of days in line with the crisis developments in Iraq.
