When Yves Saint Laurent told his intimates last year that he would soon retire, Loulou de la Falaise, his muse and a chief creative consultant for 30 years, found herself at a crossroads, too. "I used to think, Well, maybe I should garden," she recalls in her smoky voice, smiling wryly. "But when it actually happened, I instantly realized I wouldn't. I realized that I would do something."
And how. On Valentine's Day, de la Falaise christened her new fashion house and boutique on the Rue de Bourgogne in Paris, with her old master Saint Laurent, Pierre Berge, Betty Catroux, Alber Elbaz and other YSL faithfuls toasting her labor of love. "It's magnificent. All of ...
