The Australian Government has announced plans to send additional specialist military personnel to the Middle East. Australian Defence Minister, Robert Hill, said the Australian Government had agreed to a US request for six Royal Australian Air Force imagery analysts to join the war against Iraq. Hill said that the specialists would be used to assist with target accuracy. He said that the group would be deployed for three months, but would not operate in Iraq.
