While international events continued to thunder, Nina and I went to Indiana, Pennsylvania, to, once again, celebrate the life of the legendary movie star Jimmy Stewart.
For those who don't remember, Mr. Stewart was born in this lovely town in western Pennsylvania and, in many important ways, never left it.
Of course, the town never left him, either. Eight years ago they opened a museum featuring unique memorabilia of his life and times. There's a statue of him as his character Elwood P. Dowd in "Harvey" right in front of the court-house. There's a plaque where his father's hardware store stood on Philadelphia Street. A ...
