CAMP EDILBERTO EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City Eight New Peoples Army (NPA) rebels and four government soldiers were killed while 10 rebels were seriously wounded in a gun battle between government forces and communist rebels in two towns of Bukidnon province, the Philippine Army said yesterday.
Lt. Col. Johnny L. Macanas, regional spokesman of the Army's Fourth Infantry (Diamond) Division, identified the slain soldiers as Cpl. Joel B. Gagno of PBMA village, San Pablo, Tacurong City; Pfc.
