Young sea lion treated
at Newport aquarium
NEWPORT - A young California sea lion is now at the Oregon Coast Aquarium for rehabilitation after some residents near Pacific City called officials about the ill-looking sea creature.
The Marine Mammal Stranding Network, based at Oregon State University Hatfield Marine Science Center, was alerted by Oregon State Police and brought the malnourished and dehydrated sea lion to the aquarium Wednesday.
