CBC (Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos), single ammunitions producer in Brazil, is considering the possibility of going private to reduce costs, and has already hired the broker Fator Doria Atherino. As a public company, CBC spends nearly R$500,000 per year. The company is controlled by Arbi group, which has 70% of the voting capital and 41% of the total capital. In 2002, CBC had a net profit of R$10.9mil, mainly due to the exports, a boom of 280% in comparison with 2001. The net income boosted 56%, jumping from R$93.3mil in 2001 ...
