PHOENIX - It was 70 degrees with the roof open Friday night at Bank One Ballpark, as the Cubs opened a two-game exhibition series with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
It could be 30 degrees cooler Monday in New York, where the Cubs open the regular season against the Mets. The Cubs move on to Cincinnati from there before opening at Wrigley Field on April 7, when the weather figures to be just as cold.
Cubs manager Dusty Baker says the Cubs will just have to deal with it.
"Coming from San Francisco in the summertime, you get plenty a taste of cold weather," said Baker, the former Giants manager. ...
