Syracuse Civic Theatre continues its practice of mounting dramas that blend nicely with the curriculum in many local school districts. "The Diary of Anne Frank," seen in a daytime school performance, remains a classic source for dialogue about a variety of topics.
This production is well-crafted for maximum emotional and educational impact.
"The Diary of Anne Frank" is an intimate play that evokes not only empathy for the plight of the many Jews who were forced to hide from Nazi persecution in World War II, but also recognition of the often difficult relationships within families.
