Apr. 6--Investing in the world hasn't provided American investors any refuge from this country's economic problems.
In fact, the world was harsher on investors last quarter than the United States. The average diversified world stock fund fell 7.39 percent during the last three months, while U.S. stock funds lost only 3.32 percent, according to Lipper, a fund tracking firm.
