A spectacular Confederate flag of the Army of Northern Virginia sporting distinctive braided fringe sold for $126,500 to a determined bidder in the room at the James D. Julia's firearms sale March 10 and 11. The flag was recently found in a Texas estate. Its braided fringe is similar to that on the sword sashes of two Confederate officers of note. Another highly desirable lot was a rare crushed blue velvet 18th Georgia officers kepi that sold for $20,125.
