Article: New iTV division forces Carlton Active closure.(Brief Article)

Carlton Active, the interactive TV production and ad sales division of Carlton TV, will close with the loss of 26 jobs as ITV sets up a new division to co-ordinate its iTV strategy.

Carlton Active--responsible for the interactivity behind the ITV game show Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? and numerous iTV ads for companies including Unilever and Asda--is currently in the process of being wound down.

Jane Marshall, CEO of Carlton Active, is among the redundancies. The iTV ad sales members of the team will be integrated within the main Carlton TV sales team. Those responsible for iTV content production are left without jobs.
