Apr. 5--It started off as a Fast Company staff meeting in Boston yesterday to announce the name of the magazine's new editor, but more significant news soon emerged: The magazine will be moving to New York City.
John A. Byrne, most recently a senior writer at Business Week, was named editor in chief of Fast Company.
Gruner+Jahr USA, which bought the Boston-based magazine in 2000, issued a news release from its New York office yesterday. The magazine's Boston staff, which numbers approximately 50 people, learned of the appointment at a meeting with Fast Company's two ...
