IVF babies at increased risk for retinoblastoma

Test tube babies may be at increased risk of developing retinoblastoma, a rare form of eye cancer, according to Dutch scientists.

Although there is no confirmed evidence linking in vitro fertilization (IVF) with cancer, researchers at the VU University Medical Centre in Amsterdam said IVF babies could be between 5 and 7 times more likely to develop retinoblastoma than other children.
