Mary Bryant faced her daughter's killer Friday as she painted pictures of Cara's short life.

Cara playing soccer. Cara at Lake George. Cara near the Christmas tree. Cara's face stained from eating berries in the back yard.

"This is my little girl - she was my baby," Mary Bryant told Richard Jones, 20, who admitted to stabbing Cara, 25, several times in her Marcellus home last summer.

Bryant told Jones that there will never be another picture of her daughter because a monster took her life, and "that monster is you."

"You took a friend," Mary Bryant said. "Cara, she was funny and beautiful. ...
