LOUISVILLE -- A soldier from the 101st Airborne Division has been charged with premeditated murder and attempted murder in a grenade attack March 23 on tents housing officers of the division in Kuwait.
Fort Campbell announced the charges Friday afternoon against Sgt. Hasan K. Akbar, 32. The post said Akbar was charged March 25 with two counts of premeditated murder and 17 counts of attempted murder under military law.
