MARAWI CITY Local police, military, and rebel officials in Mindanao have forged an informal truce to allow negotiators to resume the stalled peace talks and end the raging hostilities in the south.
The unofficial ceasefire agreement was reached at a peace dialogue reported Sunday over the Cagayan de Oro City-based dxCL-Angel Radio. City Mayor Vicente Emano organized the dialogue in what he described as his contribution to the growing call for peace.
