Webb Wheel Products, Inc., has teamed up with Lynnfin Truck Technologies, Inc. to create the industry's first self-cleaning brake system. Webb has developed a new series of brake drum called the Webb BTS (BrakeTurbines System) Brake Drums, which are specially engineered for use with Lynnfin's BrakeTurbines. This new BrakeTurbines system will improve brake life and performance, while lowering maintenance expenses.
In 1999, The Maintenance Council (TMC)'s Tomorrow's Truck Program task force recommended the creation of self-cleaning brake drums and brake linings. The Webb BTS Brake Drum and Lynnfin BrakeTurbines do just that.
