Apr. 9--More than 100 workers of a Rochester nursing home will vote Thursday on joining the Minnesota branch of the Service Employees International Union.
An appeal by Riverside Trace HealthCare & Rehabilitation Center about eligibility of some nurses for union membership was pending this morning.
But the federally held election still is scheduled Thursday. "It won't delay the election," said Ron Sharp, regional director for the National Labor Relations Board at Minneapolis. "We would just either challenge or impound the ballots for the people at issue."
