Parties almost always include beer.
But sometimes the brew begets the bash.
On Monday, many breweries and brewpubs nationwide plan to mark the 70th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition with, well, beer.
Colorado voters adopted Prohibition in 1915, four years before the 18th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution abolished the manufacturing and sale of intoxicating beverages.
``Prohibition basically crushed the beer industry in this country,'' said Paul Gatza, director of the Institute for Brewing Studies of the Boulder-based Association of Brewers.
