Last week it became official that ITV is setting up a new centrally based interactive TV content development unit, a move which has brought about the closure of Carlton Active, the iTV production and ad sales arm of Canton TV.
Canton Active CEO Jane Marshall is out of a job, together with 25 colleagues, but bets are already being laid as to whether it will be Marshall or Justin Judd, Granada's controller of sport and interactive, who will claim the number one spot at the new ITV Interactive.
