Bird lovers of the world long ago discovered the paintings of John Ruthven, a celebrated wildlife artist who lives on a farm near Georgetown in Brown County.
During his long career, Ruthven's artwork has been displayed throughout the nation and sold around the globe. Public television has aired documentaries about the internationally known artist.
An exhibit of his work is on display today at Ellenwood Nature Barn at Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve in Colerain Township. His work also may be seen at the Thompson House Gallery which the artist owns in Georgetown.
