NEW YORK-Mahdavi's A&A Rug Co. launched its Aubusson Collection, as well as new designs in 10 collections, at the New York home textiles market and the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C.
The initial seven designs of the Aubusson Collection, which is made with hand-knotted, hand-spun wool, are named after cities in France: Bourges, Cannes, Lyon, Metz, Nice, Orleans and Rouen. The rugs are available in four sizes, with a 5-by-8 retailing for $879.
Mahdavi also showed more than 60 new designs in 10 collections, including Contempo, Dynasty, Monaco, Royale Silk and Jute.
