European Parliament gives thumbs up to EU enlargement by Poland, 9 other candidates

The European Parliament has voted for European Union enlargement in May 2004 by Poland and nine other mostly ex-communist candidate countries by a vast majority, paving the way for the signing of the official Accession Treaty in Greece next week.
