WASHINGTON -- WASHINGTON, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the American Legacy Foundation(R) announced $280,000 in awards to three organizations to support innovative approaches to tobacco education, cessation and prevention. The awards are part of the American Legacy Foundation's ongoing commitment to support small innovative programs and research demonstration projects that address the foundation's goals to arm all young people with the knowledge and tools to reject tobacco, and eliminate disparities in access to tobacco prevention and cessation services. Since September 2000, thirty-five small innovative grants have been awarded, totaling $4,210,683.
