Dying, Process of
It might seem self-evident that death is the outcome of the process of dying. The reality, however, is not so simple. Consider a few examples: Two people are experiencing the same life-threatening emergency. One person receives prompt and competent treatment; the other does not. Were both dying if one recovers? Or say that laboratory tests show that a person has a progressive condition that sooner or later will result in death.
