Restless, worried White Sox fans (are there any other kind?) wanted Ron Schueler to do something -- anything -- about the team's inexperienced, incapacitated, ineffective pitching. Preferably, something besides Rocky Biddle.

Schueler finally did, nabbing Ken Hill off of the Enormous ERA Scrap Heap and sending the 34-year-old with the arthritic elbow out to the mound against the Triple-A franchise formerly known as the Baltimore Orioles.

Two and one-third innings, 60 pitches (33 of them balls), six runs, five hits, four walks, 20,000 boos and another loss later, the answer that Hill was supposed to provide instead yielded yet another question:
