So, what are you doing New Year's Eve? A Blockbuster Video survey says more people are planning on staying indoors this new year.

"When questioned about their plans for New Year's Eve 2000," the survey reads, "71 percent cited a calm activity and 57 percent planned to do their celebrating at home."

The activities mentioned include a quiet dinner in or out, renting a movie (no kidding) or watching a New Year's celebration on TV.

Only 24 percent of those surveyed plan to throw or attend a major party.

The teen years are a transition from baby-sitting (age 13, 14) so someone else can have a good time on New Year's -- to finding your own New Year's fun.
