The living room, also known in the past as the front room or parlor, may become a thing of the past.
Although the rooms have not completely disappeared, in many markets their function has changed from formal entertaining to a functional room for the family.
Preston and Sharon Swafford, residents of White Eagle Club, a Macom Corp. community in Aurora/Naperville, use their living room as a pool table room.
