JOLIET -- An impossible mission? Not really.
Ranked 300th in a listing of nice places to live, the Quad Cities is making moves to try to improve its position.
Well, at least two radio crazies named Dwyer & Michaels tried.
The hosts, realizing there are no Porcelain Palaces in their area, decided to do something about it.
So, on Wednesday morning, they hired a plane and had a pilot fly to Joliet, the site of the closest White Castle.
The mission? Pick up about 2,500 White Castles burgers, put them on the plane, and fly them back for Quad Cities citizens enjoy.
The phone rang Monday at the White Castle, Larkin Avenue and Jefferson Street.
