The Joliet Park District is a senior citizen at age 75, but it shows no signs of slowing down.
In fact, the park district is fit, flying high, entertaining and still able to relax.
Those are just some of the purposes served by the park district programs, which continue to expand to match diverse interests and needs.
This year is the 75th anniversary of the park district, which won a gold medal for its accomplishments in 1994.
The park district strives to meet new interests in recreation and related fields.
Numerous park district programs -- ranging from softball to a fitness center -- contribute to the district's overall fitness.
There is something for every age group to keep active and trim.
