Can somebody explain the Spice Girls? What is their attraction?

As a public service, I have spent more than a week trying to figure out the Spice Girls.

I would like to get a government grant to continue my research.

The sugar industry is already subsidized so I might qualify with a request for sugar and spice.

The Spice Girls visited Chicago last week.

Since that time, I have carefully watched TV clips (no, not for that reason) and I read the news stories.

My intent was scholarly.

I would like to write a lengthy treatise on the Spice Girls.

This column might have to do.

I checked out local restaurants, bars and coffee shops.

Not one soul can explain the Spice Girls.
