The next day he could play 18 holes at TPC Scottsdale, Ariz., 18 more holes at Pinehurst, N.C., and maybe even 18 more at TPC Sawgrass, Fla.

Meanwhile, Skip Irwin was watching an old-timer make a 1,312-yard drive with a golf ball hit on a moon golf course with the moon's gravity force factored into the shot.

Of course, they weren't really at these golf courses.

They were playing at The Golf Club, which will open its new business doors on West Jefferson Street in Joliet on Aug. 31. This is virtual reality golf.
